Our programmes
Each programme has its own classroom, its own set of materials and its own rhythm, but all four share the same foundation: children work at their own pace, with the guidance of a trained adult and the example of their classmates.
Toddler Program — 18 months to 3 years
A gentle first step away from home. Toddlers practise walking, carrying, pouring and dressing themselves, and begin to name the world around them. Emphasis is on language, movement and toilet independence.
Preschool Program — 3 to 5 years
The heart of the Montessori classroom. Children move through practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics and culture areas, choosing their own work each morning during an uninterrupted three-hour work cycle.
Kindergarten Program — 5 to 6 years
The year in which everything comes together. Reading becomes fluent, mathematical operations move towards abstraction, and children take on responsibility as the eldest in the classroom.
Flex & Day Care — all ages
Extended hours for working families, with rest time, a warm snack, quiet reading and free play in the garden under supervision.
A typical morning
- Arrival, greeting and the day's circle
- The three-hour work cycle — individual and small-group lessons
- Snack prepared and served by the children
- Outdoor play in the garden
- Story, song and goodbye circle
